This course is for beginning Latin students at the high school level. We will cover the material taught in a college-prep High School Latin course. Students will learn the basics of Latin pronunciation, grammar and syntax, as well as approximately 400 vocabulary words. We will also begin simple translation work of ancient Roman authors as well as Biblical narratives from the Latin Vulgate. This course will cover the first half of Wheelock’s Latin. Open to students age 14 and up.
